The Chef's Experience: Perfect for the Foodie in your Life

Are you brave enough to enter the engine room at l’ortolan?

 Come and learn the tricks of the trade from the Michelin starred kitchen, discover what really happens behind the scenes.

After a short briefing you will assist with the preparation of the lunch service, and enjoy a light lunch with the Chefs.

You will then participate in the lunch service, working on the various sections of the kitchen and event attending at the Pass.

If you are ready and willing, join the team again for the dinner preparation and service – most definitely not for the faint hearted.

9.30                     Preparation for lunch service

11.30                   Light lunch on the Chef’s table

12.00                   Assist with lunch service & observe plating of dishes          

16.00 (approx)    Finish when lunch service has ended

 BREAK FOR ALL STAFF

Guests may wish to end their day here and head home at this time or they may take a break and return for the evening service

18.00   Preparation for dinner service

 
The pace is generally faster in the evening especially on a Saturday evening as the restaurant is always fully booked.  More guests choose from the A La Carte Menu in the evening rather than the Menu Du Jour so there is an opportunity to see a wider variety of dishes being prepared.
