L'ortolan launches restaurant blog

Michelin secrets shared online

There aren’t many successful restaurants who will openly share the reasons behind their success, but for the last three months Michelin Starred L’ortolan has been sharing their secrets online.

Launched in November last year the l’ortolan blog allows key staff members share their experiences and expertise with its visitors. Over the past few months the blog has seen l’ortolan Head Sommelier Stephen Nisbet sharing hints and tips as to how to serve wine, and insights straight from the l’ortolan kitchen courtesy of Head Chef Elliott Lidstone.

“We started the blog as a trail a few months ago to help develop our relationships with our customers,” explains restaurant owner Peter Newman “and it’s been really successful – going from strength to strength.  It means we’ve been able to offer our customers even more of the l’ortolan experience, offering advice, guidance and even recipes.”

“It’s always great to receive any feedback from our customers – and we’ve had really positive comments about the blog,” explain Claire Dunford, from the l’ortolan marketing department “With our blog we’ve now got the opportunity to prolong our conversations with our guests even after they’ve left the restaurant.  We’re even able to tell them how to cook the dishes they’ve enjoyed in their own kitchen. We’re really pleased to be able to add to the levels of quality and service that our guests expect.”
