The Winebarn Dinner - 14th March
Iris Ellmann of The Winebarn personally visits and tastes at a large number of German vineyards, and sells only what are in her opinion, truly unique and rewarding wines. There list includes superb examples of German Riesling, the Pinot family and others - many of which are featured on our own winelist.

The words “made in Germany” are generally synonymous with outstanding quality, and The Winebarn's ever growing list of ambitious smaller German wine producers increasingly bears testimony to this. Both Stephen (sommelier at L’ortolan) and Iris agree that German wine is poised for a bright and much deserved renaissance, but the good news for you is that right now, Alan and the team have created a menu around these fantastic German wines, better still as German wine is still emerging on the high streets the costs are still very reasonable!!
