Fresh from the London scene Sylvain Morant joined us as restaurant manager in September 2015.
With his warm personality and charm, French born Sylvain has very quickly won the hearts of our guests.
Sylvain was restaurant manager at Medlar Restaurant in Chelsea for several years prior to joining us. He learned the ropes in some of London’s most iconic restaurants including Texture, The Square and The Ledbury.
Sylvain is keen to create a relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy Michelin starred fine dining and top quality service without the stuffiness and formality.
‘Many guests dine here as they are celebrating a special occasion like an anniversary, a special birthday or engagement. As we’re so close to many of the business parks and Reading town centre we also have a large number of corporate guests.
For me, it’s really important that we interpret the needs of every diner and respond with the right level of attentiveness. Ultimately my aim is to make the guest experience more personalised and encourage the team to use their imagination and personalities to delight guests and leave them feeling good and wanting to return.’
