Wine Events at Restaurant Reading

We are always on the lookout for most interesting, tasteful, quirky and unusual wines of the world! 

It is in this spirit, we bring you the opportunity to enhance your L'Ortolan dining experience by selecting from various wine flight packages - and right here you can find dates for upcoming Wine Events. 

On those dates, a member of the vineyard - producer, winemaker or manager - will bring you the chance to try some of their best creations paired with our delicious, seven course Gourmand tasting menu. 

 

The following wine packages will be offered to you on the evening as an alternative to our regular wine flights.

 

 

Greyfriars Wine Dinner - Friday, 16th of August

 

Straight from our local vineyard in Puttenham, Hampshire ( located 30 miles away from L'Ortolan ), the creators of award winning, British sparkling wine are teaming up with our team of sommeliers, to deliver a match made in heaven - wine flight to accompany Tom Clarke's Gourmand tasting menu.

Brannland Ice Cider - Friday, 20th of September

 

Andreas Sundgren Graniti along with his skilled team of professionals produce artisan cider on the Baltic seaboard of northern Sweden, based on 100% Swedish, frozen apple juice. The final product is a lovely,sweet wine which versatile characteristics make it a great addition  to some of Tom Clarke's dishes. It is the unique process which encouraged us to go all in on this interesting concept of pairing Brannland Ice Ciders with our tasting menu.
